Kia Ora. I've been lurking about on this interweb thing since April 1992 when I first fired up my then brand new US Robotics 2400 baud modem and dialled into the local library computer for my first monochrome command-line encounter with the rest of the world. I was hooked within the first five minutes. I live in New Zealand where I work as a technical writer trying my hardest to save enough for an airfare to visit DizzyB with whom I have been in love since I first met her as LZB more than 10 years ago. It's an unrequited affair, alas, but fervent all the same. I am a proud owner of a REGISTERED version of mIRC – I finally paid up in June 2009. Many thanks Kahled. And many thanks also to the hardcore channel ops and regulars for your patience, assistance, guardianship and great chat. There's always a spare room should you ever find yourselves down here on the edge of the planet. |
